Join us this October for the 7th Annual Community Book Fair, hosted by Books for Keeps, at our warehouse located at 420 Athena Drive in Athens, GA! Every visitor can take home up to 100 books for FREE!

Books at this event are free to the public, all made possible by book donations throughout the year and our generous sponsors. Individual donations are also very much appreciated! All proceeds support our book access programs in the current (2026-2027) school year.

Please, no resellers or scanners! These books were donated by members of the community and are intended for personal and community use only.

FAQs
Is there parking?
Yes! Parking will be available on-site in marked, BFK spaces. Please do not park in loading docks.
Is the event really free?
Yes! The exception is our Early Access Day on Friday, October 17 which requires a $10 ticket purchase at the door. Every other day of the book fair is completely free, thanks to wonderful sponsors! Donations are of course welcome, but not required.
Should I bring a bag / box?
Yes! We will have limited bags and boxes available, but if you anticipate taking more than 5-10 books we suggest bringing your own bag/wagon/bin/suitcase to transport your books home (whatever works for you!)
Can I volunteer?
Yes, PLEASE! This event would not be possible without volunteers. Sign-ups for our volunteer shifts will be live in late September.
What’s the Public Educators Day?
Our Public Educators Day prioritizes expanded book access in public school classroom libraries across our community & beyond. School ID or paystub is required for entry. Substitute teachers are welcome, if working in a public, k-12 school. We ask that additional adults (friends, partners, or other adult family members) come on another day.
Can homeschool teachers/private school teachers/college educators come to the Public Educators Day?
This year, due to capacity and inventory limitations, we are prioritizing public and classroom teachers only for this Sneak Peek Day. Homeschool teachers, private school teachers, and college educators and others are invited to attend all other public book fair days! There are still plenty of excellent books available after the first day!
Can I take books to resell?
No! These books were donated by community members and are intended for community and personal use only. Our book fair is free; please don’t abuse that. Scanners are not allowed at the Book Fair.
What if I have more questions?
We’re here to answer them! Reach out to info@booksforkeeps.org & a member of our team will be in touch with you!
